You might say that Thierry Blouet is passionate about food: not only is he a master chef and the owner of one of Puerto Vallarta's favorite restaurants, Cafe des Artistes, but he's also a promoter of all things that constitute "The Good Life."

This month, Thierry and his staff are celebrating the completion of 52 complimentary hour-long, bilingual wine tasting seminars at Costantini by hosting the first ever champagne tasting event on April 16th at 6 pm at this informal, yet sophisticated, wine bar in the heart of downtown Vallarta.

With its numerous wines by the glass, delicious menu of boutique tapas, full bar, live music and fabulous dessert menu, Costantini Wine Bar in Puerto Vallarta has something for everyone - from wine lovers to the most sophisticated "foodies."

Constantini Wine Bar Manager Sarah Stewart and her professional team, along with guest sommelier Juan Carlos Alcantara of VIPARMEX, will host this sparkling event, which promises to tickle your taste buds.

This special Champagne tasting will give you the opportunity to sample such famous brands of sparkling wine as Petillant, Freixenet Brut Nature, Prosseco Villa Sandi, Domaine St Michelle Blanc, Cremant de Bourgogne, Moet & Chandon Brut and Veuve Cliquot Ponsardin, as well as an assortment of imported cheeses for only $200 pesos per person.

Two days later, on April 18th, Café des Artistes invites you to an intriguing dinner show that includes visual art and dance featuring all original music performed by the popular local band, Katmandú.

Don Pope founded his musical group, Katmandú, in 1984. The group recently released a CD called "Raga Maso" which combines Latin rhythms, Indian scales and Jazz, a fusion composed by Don. Don't miss this fabulous evening of all original music featuring some of the finest local musicians performing for your pleasure - complemented by a harmonious menu. Price for this special dinner is just $550 pesos per person.
