To get your tickets, call Joan at 222-4681 or Sudy at 224-4407. If you would like to volunteer or donate prizes for our auctions, contact Chris Amo at keithamo(at)msn.com or call at 044-322-160-9870.

Don't Miss the Sixth Annual R.I.S.E. for Hope Fundraising Event - A Valentines / Friends Fiesta on Saturday, February 9th from 5 to 9 pm at The American School in Marina Vallarta.

The date is coming up soon for this spectacular event to benefit the Refugio Infantil Santa Esperanza children's shelter in Puerto Vallarta. This year, in a measure intended to make the event affordable to more people, ticket prices have been lowered! Pre-event ticket price is $400 pesos per person or $450 pesos at the door.

The ticket price has been reduced, but the event itself features more fun than ever!

Those who have attended past events know that there will be plenty of delicious food from Vallarta's most popular restaurants. Already onboard to provide some gourmet fare are La Dulce Vita, Banana Cantina, La Terrazza, Agro Gourmet, Fajita Banana, Morgans, Trio, Vitea, La Palapa, Vista Grill, Tikul, Boca Bento, Xocodiva, Subway, Church's Chicken, Daiquiri Dick's, Cafe de Artistes, Outback, Epoca, Trattoria Angelo, Bubba Gump Shrimp Company, Organic Select, Mariscos Polo, Ernestos, Encantos, Charme, DeSantos, Oscars, Starbucks, Cilantros, Azul-96, Los Xitomatos, El Andariego and more. What a great way to sample food from your favorite restaurants and those you have been curious about but not had a chance to visit yet.

Beer, wine and soft drinks will be served. A variety of live entertainment is scheduled throughout the evening including the always-popular Xiutla Folkloric Dance Troupe, directed by Professor Enrique Barrios Limon, music and of course the children's performance.

There will be plenty of time to peruse the items in the silent auction. Many local artists, restaurateurs, "pampering" service providers and other businesses have donated some really great things.

Don't miss your chance to participate in the Live Auction. A "day of beauty" at blu by Len Salon, a romantic getaway to Hacienda San Angel, an entire adventure day at de Los Veranos Canopy Tours, a golf package at Vista Vallarta including some new clubs, a signature red heart piece by Patti Gallardi and some fun tours from Vallarta Adventures will go to the highest bidders.

New this year, raffle tickets are being sold ahead of the event and you don't have to be present to win. Prizes are a seven-night stay at one of the Playa del Sol resorts, an authentic Mata Ortiz pot and dinner for two at Mama Dolores. Tickets are $20 pesos each or 3 for $50 pesos and can be purchased from any committee member or by contacting Chris at 221-5451 or Pauline at 221-5660.

Another fun new twist has been added with the "Pop A Prize." Party-goers buy a balloon and pop it to reveal a prize inside.

Pre-sale tickets are available at the International Friendship Club 222-5466, Daiquiri Dick's, Banana Cantina, Encore, Peyote People, Riedresser and Associates in the Marina (221-0724), The American School, Curves on Pulpito, at the Refugio, or by calling Joan at 222-4681 or Sudy at 224-4407.

If you would like to volunteer on the committee for this wonderful event, or if you have something that you would like to donate for our auctions, please contact Chris Amo at keithamo(at)msn.com or by cell phone at 044-322-160-9870.
