PVRPV Bowling Night takes place at Collage Club on Wednesday nights from 7:00 pm until around 9:00 pm. If you'd like to join in the fun, send an email to tim(at)pvrpv.com TODAY!
Wednesday, May 12th was another successful evening for the Puerto Vallarta Summer Bowling League. Though there were about 9 players absent a lot of enthusiastic substitute players were ready to go and step in to bowl in their place.

Puerto Vallarta Summer Bowling League Week Two Highlights:

• Roland from the Pin Jocks and Armando from The Fantastic 4 were so excited about their new look with their fancy bowling shoes that they almost left with them on. Hey guys, if you really need another pair of shoes, maybe Edson would be willing to give you a discount on a new pair.

• Miguel had another successful night of selling 50/50 tickets and was able to raise $2790 pesos. The 50% ($1395 pesos) was won by Armando Sanchez from The Fantastic 4. The other 50% will be used for prizes and our final bowling party. Thank you again, Miguel, for doing such a great job.

• If you want to see the Moon Walk this week just come on down and watch Juan Carlos from The Bowling Stones who'll perform it for you after every strike he gets. This is something you do not want to miss. Make sure to come before the end of the second game, because last week there were no strikes in sight for him in the last game.

• Steve Snyder from The Sonics was our TOP Bowler last week and could be seen jumping up and down as he received a spare and a strike. Steve, I am happy to report that you have now moved up from 56 to 55th place in the overall individual score.

• The accounting team, also known as The Drink Team, was seen at the counter at the end of the night receiving a lesson on how to document points and complete the documents. They wanted to be prepared so they could audit our total score cards at the end of each evening. Sorry, guys, but please leave your accounting hats at the office... this is about having fun!

• John Powers from Amigas who is the League's overall TOP Player was seen handing out T-shirts to all the players on his team. Wow, he certainly came prepared!

• My understanding is that Lynn from the Pins in Paradise team has a finger hurting her today. Lynn, are you sure you holding the ball properly?

• Yes, it was hot in the bowling alley last week. Edson has promised that he will have it fixed for this week's games. He will also be working on lane number 5 and looking into getting the balls re-sanded and fixed. Edson, we are counting on you!

• The line seemed to move faster last week, thanks to Alma, who once again volunteered to take attendance and help out at the counter and kept everything running smoothly.

• Thanks also go out to Philippa, Elfren, Cindy, Randy, Kathryn, Tan, James, Arlene and Victor for coming out last week to substitute for us. Remember, if you are available for any particular week please send an email to tim(at)pvrpv.com.

• Lori Lorenzen came by last Wednesday night to check out all of the action, and by the end of the second game, she said "I'm in, call me anytime you need a player!"
