Lorena Ochoa will make her first public appearance on a Mexican golf course since her retirement about a year ago at the El Tigre Golf & Country Club in Nuevo Vallarta in the Riviera Nayarit.
The month of September is traditionally slow for the Puerto Vallarta area but the El Tigre Golf & Country Club promises to be an active spot as they introduce a weekend special of $500 pesos to try to tame "EL Tigre". This applies to members and local residents only and after 10:00 AM on Saturdays and Sundays. With skyrocketing prices at golf courses, this will be a great opportunity to play one of Latin America's best and most challenging courses during the month of September. For more information, call locally at 226-8190 or email golf(at)paradisevillagegroup.com.

On the 22nd and 23rd of September, recently retired and the former #1 female golfer in the world, Lorena Ochoa will make her first public appearance on a Mexican golf course since her retirement about a year ago. She will be playing in the 4th Annual Aeromexico Golf Tournament at the El Tigre Golf & Country Club in Nuevo Vallarta in the Riviera Nayarit. This is not open for the public to play in, only for special selected Aeromexico clients. More details will be announced in the coming days.

Lorena's last professional tournament played after her retirement was announced was in Morelia, Mexico last May and she recently participated in one day event in New York along with also retired Annika Sorenstam as well as current LPGA stars, Suzanne Peterson, Cristie Kerr, Morgan Pressel and Anna Rawson.

A number of tournaments are also scheduled at EL Tigre, starting with the inaugural Pullmantur Cup Tournament on October 1st. The cost is $1,500 pesos per person and the contact is head golf pro Francisco Salazar at 322-226-8190, ext. 124 or email at fsalazar(at)paradievillagegroup.com.
