Restaurant Los Gallos 'Tacos y Cortes' comes highly recommended by Cooking in Mexico if you are a meat eater. Order by the taco or by the kilo for your fill of tender, well seasoned beef and pork. Four of us shared a kilo of arrachera, marinated flank steak, brought to the table with a basket of steaming corn tortillas with re-fills of four kinds of salsas, and pickled vegetables.

The menu choices are extensive, by the taco, by the kilo or by an order for steak by the plate. Tacos al Pastor, Angus rib eye steak, pork loin and birria are just some of the many options.

We are always looking for affordable meals, and this one met our criteria. The price came to under $50 pesos per person, plus beverages and tips. Complimentary tortilla chips, salsa, frijoles ranchero and a shot of tequila helped make up our minds that this was a restaurant to visit again.
