The Vallarta Botanical Gardens (VBG) will be celebrating its fifth anniversary on Sunday, November 14th, 2010. Inspired by the vision of the Founder and Curator Robert Price, who realized the importance and viability of a botanical garden in Puerto Vallarta, construction began in late 2004 and the gardens opened to the public in November, 2005.

Over the last five years, the Vallarta Botanical Gardens has grown into a significant landmark for Puerto Vallarta and has contributed to the cultural development of the area. The Gardens will celebrate their fifth anniversary with free birthday cake and punch for all guests.

Members and visitors are encouraged to attend the anniversary celebration and enjoy a beautiful day at the gardens, have a great meal in the Hacienda de Oro, explore the nature trails, swim in the pristine river, relax on a day bed, shop for that special gift in the Tapiz Gift Shop.

Open Tuesday through Sunday from 10 am to 6 pm, Vallarta Botanical Gardens is located 30 minutes south of Puerto Vallarta on the Palms to Pines Scenic Highway, with bus service available from the Romantic Zone at the corner of Aguacate and Carranza Streets.

Located 30 minutes south of Old Town at Km. 24 on Highway 200, Vallarta Botanical Gardens offer something to keep every age group happy; from a Rose Garden for the romantic to jungle trails for the adventurous and a Carnivorous Plants area for the younger generation! The Botanical Gardens' vibrant and elegant settings also offer the perfect venue for weddings and special occasions.
