The Jay Sadler Project and American Legion Post 14 are organizing a Remembrance and Veterans Day event, set to take place at 11:00 am on November 11th, at Parque Hidalgo in downtown Puerto Vallarta. This is the 100th anniversary for the observance.

<p><i>Puerto Vallarta, Mexico</i> - Whether you are visiting Mexico or have made it your home, there are certain traditions you don't want to lose.</p>

<p>For many expats and members of American Legion, Veteran's Day is one of those traditions, as is Remembrance Day (also known as 'Poppy Day' or 'Armistice Day'), a Memorial Day observed in Commonwealth countries since the end of World War I to remember the members of their armed forces who have died in the line of duty. This is the 100th anniversary for the observance.</p><p><table width="1" border="0" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="2" align="right"><tr><td><img src="../0809/images/freelegal.jpg" alt="" width="214" height="300" hspace="0" vspace="0" border="0"><br></td></tr><tr><td class="blut1"></td></tr><tr><td align="center" class="blut1"><img src="../images/spacer.gif" width="1" height="6" alt="" border="0"></td></tr></table>This day is also recognized as a special day for war remembrances in many non-Commonwealth countries. The event will take place at 11:00 am at Parque Hidalgo, located on Calle Peru at Jesus Langarica in downtown Puerto Vallarta, with the Mexican Navy Zone Color Guard performing with their drum and bugle corps.
