Monarch Population in Mexico Increased by 144 Percent

The number of Monarch butterflies that reached wintering grounds in Mexico is up 144% over last year, experts said Wednesday. According to data presented by Mexican environmental authorities, this year, the butterflies cover 14.95 acres, up from 6.12 acres a year ago.
