Temple to pre-Hispanic 'Flayed God' Unearthed in Mexico

Archaeologists in the central state of Puebla, Mexico have found what is believed to be the first temple dedicated to a pre-Hispanic deity known as Xipe Totec, a god of fertility, war and agricultural cycles, who was worshipped with ritual sacrifices.

PVR Int'l Airport Served 4.76 Million Travelers in 2018

The PVR airport was pretty busy last year. According to Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacífico, the Puerto Vallarta International Airport received about 4.76 million travelers in 2018. This represents a 5.3 percent increase in the number of visitors to the destination since 2017.

Five Huichol college students from an indigenous community in Jalisco's Sierra Madres recently received scholarships of $5,000 pesos each from the Puerto Vallarta International Friendship Club's Huichol Scholarship Fund to help support them in their university studies.
