Democrats Abroad Oscar-Winning Film Series Extended

March 26, 2019

All of Democrats Abroad's featured Oscar-Winning Films are shown at 3:00 pm. Tickets cost $150 pesos for general seating and $250 pesos for preferred seating (includes house drink and premium seating).

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - Due to popular demand, Democrats Abroad's Oscar-Winning Film Series has been extended once again, with Puerto Vallarta audience favorite movies 'The Favourite' and 'Green Book' screening at Incanto this Tuesday, March 26 and Thursday, March 28, respectively.

Tuesday, March 26 - The Favourite
This film portrays early 8th century England at war with the French. A frail Queen Anne (Olivia Colman) occupies the throne and her close friend Lady Sarah Churchill (Rachel Weisz) governs the country in her stead while tending to Anne's ill health and mercurial temper. When a new servant Abigail Masham (Emma Stone) arrives, her charm endears her to Sarah who takes her under her wing and Abigail sees a chance to return to her aristocratic roots. As the politics of war become quite time consuming for Sarah, Abigail steps into the breach to fill in as the Queen's companion, their friendship helping her to fulfill her ambitions and she will let nothing stand in her way.

Thursday, March 28 - Green Book
When Tony Lip (Viggo Mortensen), a bouncer from an Italian-American neighborhood in the Bronx, is hired to drive Dr. Don Shirley (Mahershala Ali), a world-class Black pianist, on a concert tour from Manhattan to the Deep South, they must rely on "The Green Book" to guide them to the few establishments that were then safe for African-Americans. Confronted with racism and danger - as well as unexpected humanity and humor - they are forced to set aside differences to survive and thrive on the journey of a lifetime.

All movies are shown at 3:00 pm. Tickets are 150 pesos general seating and 250 pesos preferred (includes house drink and premium seating). Seats may be selected at the box office from 10 am to 11 pm daily, or ordered online at IncantoVallarta.com. We strongly suggest reserving your tickets as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.

Located at Insurgentes #109 at the Rio Cuale in downtown Puerto Vallarta, Incanto's theater features air conditioning, comfortable seating, drink service during the films and dining from 4 pm on their riverside terrace.
