Things are about to get easier when making phone calls in Mexico. As of August 3, all telephone numbers throughout the country, whether land line or cellular, local or long distance, will have a total of 10 digits, according to the Federal Institute of Telecommunications.

On Friday, July 19, the City of Puerto Vallarta closed down construction of the mini hydroelectric plant on the Los Horcones River after determining that the project was being built on land in Puerto Vallarta, not in Cabo Corrientes, and therefore lacks the proper permits and licenses.
