Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - TripAdvisor, the world's largest travel website, just released the results of their 2019 Travelers' Choice Awards, and Puerto Vallarta has been named the 4th Best Overall Destination in Mexico.

The travel site that most everyone who decides to travel consults before packing a suitcase, TripAdvisor, distinguishes those places that offer such an exceptional experience that travelers just have to write about them. And that kind of experience, worthy of mention, stars, and rave reviews, can be found right here in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.

Our city has always been a popular vacation destination due to the beauty of the Sierra Madre Mountains and the beaches along Banderas Bay, as well as its diverse lodging options, ranging from 5-star and all inclusive resorts to leading hotel chains and bed & breakfast inns.

And it seems that traveler's appreciate that diversity. Puerto Vallarta Hotels took six spots in several of the Best Hotels in Mexico categories. Casa Velas came in at #9 in the Top 25 Hotels in Mexico category; Hotel Mousai was #11 on the list of Luxury Hotels; the Palacio Hotel was named the #1 Bed & Breakfast in Mexico; and Casa Velas (#7), Velas Vallarta (#16), and Villa Premiere (#17) all made the list of the Top 25 All-Inclusive Resorts in Mexico.

Puerto Vallarta distinguishes itself from other destinations not only because of its natural beauty and world class accommodations, but also for being one of Mexico's most important destinations for excellence in the culinary arts.

This year, only one Puerto Vallarta restaurant made TripAdvisor's list of the Top 10 Fine Dining Restaurants in Mexico: Le Kliff was selected by travelers for its fine cuisine, superior service and amazing views of Banderas Bay.

Puerto Vallarta also placed in TripAdvisor's Top 10 Landmarks in Mexico category. One of the city's most emblematic icons, the Church of Our Lady of Guadalupe, came in at #10 on the list that includes archaeological sites and the Basilica of Guadalupe in Mexico City.

The TripAdvisor Travelers' Choice Awards are awarded according to the votes of the more than 40 million people who use the platform and have lived the experiences they review on the page, where almost 7.3 million hotels, destinations, attractions, and restaurants around the world are listed.
