This weekend, 4 local artists will be finishing the murals they've been creating on the perimeter walls of the Puerto Vallarta Regional Hospital as a tribute to the city's medical personnel, who've been working tirelessly to help keep our community safe since the beginning of the pandemic.

The Municipal Government and Institute of Culture continue working to preserve the sculptural heritage of Puerto Vallarta. Over the last 12 months, some of the city's most recognized public art pieces have been restored, the most recent being the monument to Lázaro Cárdenas.

SEAPAL has launched a drawing contest as part of their continuing efforts to promote the responsible use and conservation of water. The contest is open to children ages 6-12 who currently live in Puerto Vallarta, and the deadline for entries is August 7.

In 2018, Alejandro Prieto, a prize-winning nature photographer whose pictures have graced the pages of National Geographic, embarked on a year-long project to photograph the Mexican jaguar in its natural environment, in hopes of spurring conservation efforts.
