 At Coco Tropical, fabulous views of Banderas Bay, marvelous sunsets and the warmth of Mexican hospitality come together in a splendid beachfront restaurant, right on the golden sands of the most popular beach in Puerto Vallarta, Playa Los Muertos.
Owner Heinz E. Reize is an accredited Swiss Chef and one of the founding members of the Puerto Vallarta Gourmet Festival. The restaurant is listed in Vallarta Lifestyles' Platinum Dining Guide, a member of the Best Specialty Restaurants Club, and has participated in the Festival Gourmet Puerto Vallarta since 1995.
Coco Tropical's menu features international cuisine prepared with a Mediterranean flair, such as a delicious Ossubuco, Strudel Florentina and authentic risotto, as well as popular seafood dishes like coconut shrimp and Pacific Lobster Bisque.
Though it's on the beach and the dress code is casual, beachwear is not permitted inside the restaurant. Prices range from $15-$25 USD. Open daily from noon to 11:30 pm. Closed in September. Visa, Mastercard and American Express accepted.

My husband & I celebrated our 40th wedding anniversay with a wonderful supper in Feb. Service was very good & sunset was beautiful, it helped make this a very special anniversary/vacation! Is there any way to get the recipe for the Chilled Cappuccino al Pomodoro Soup (chilled tomato & basil foam)? Compliments to the chef for this delicious, light soup!Joy |

Although we have been here for 10 years, the first time we went to Coco Tropical was for St. Pats day. The corned beef was amazing - a great dinner. We visited again during restaurant week and had incredible Osso Bucco. Service is wonderful. Our new home away from home...Myrna |

We happened on Coco Tropical during our first trip to PV. Everything was delicious. My husband only orders the fajitas, but I always try something new. We go there at least 2 x each trip, and it has become the place we celebrate our anniversary. Coco Tropical has almost all of the other restaurants in Vallarta beat on all fronts - food, service and atmosphere.Jane Armstrong |
