Puerto Vallarta Tennis Photo Galleries
Puerto Vallarta is a popular destination for tennis lovers. Local players and pros, tennis celebrities and spectators spend a lot of time hanging around the Banderas Bay areas' many tennis courts and clubs, so if you are looking for photographs of your favorite tennis players, local courts or one of the many events or tennis tournaments held in Puerto Vallarta, take a look through our photo galleries.

Canto Del Sol Tennis Club recently has a visit from ex-University of Oregon head tennis coach (27 years as coach there). Buzz Summers. He now splits his time between Eugene, Oregon and Palm Springs. Buzz at 71 was a rare treat for other players, a gentleman that helped everyone he played with their games and played 5-6 hours a day while here. Buzz won the United States Doubles title for 60+ years of age five years ago on the grass surface, quite an incredible feat. Buzz will be coming back for another visit and is quite interested in the local players in Puerto Vallarta.

Puerto Vallarta tennis pro Duncan Forbes takes time after a match to pose with Maria Sharapova in Florida. Maria is the 3rd ranked women's singles player in the world.

Peter Engel, originally from Switzerland, now living in Spain is on the courts daily at the Canto Del Sol and is spending the entire winter in Puerto Vallarta.

From left to right, Buzz Summers, Jim Newby from Calgary who lives in Puerto Vallarta almost full time and Peter Engel.

Juan Manuel Elizondo, who hits a powerful two handed backhand and forehand at a recent tournament at the Canto Del Sol is ranked in the Top 5 professional players in Mexico.

On the left, local tennis pro and realtor, Pedro Martinez before a match with Puerto Vallarta's Ramon Aguirre.

13 year old tennis sensation and Puerto Vallarta resident Esteban Said. Esteban who defeated opponents in the "A" division to reach the finals plays in 14 and under tournaments year round all over Mexico. When Esteban grows a couple of years, he will be able to build more muscle and improve his already deadly accurate game. He is one of Mexico's rising stars and we are thrilled he represents Puerto Vallarta as his home.
