April showers bring May flowers. Well, that is what they say. But here in Puerto Vallarta, April brings traffic, people and crowds! As we enter the Semana Santa holidays, please be patient, relax, take a deep breath and count to ten!
For those that have headed north for the summer months, we wish you a happy and healthy summer! For those that will be here, we are glad you are! April Programs at Cornerstone will be at a minimum due to heavy traffic and parking. But in reality, I Need A Rest!
APRIL EVENTS
I would request that for any of the listed programs, you bring one/any of the following to assist local families that are in crisis and in need: beans, rice, cooking oil, sugar, dry chicken stock, lentils, tomato puree, canned tuna, canned milk and toilet paper.
WISE WOMEN OF PUERTO VALLARTA
Stop by the Hospital Cornerstone Meeting Room on Wednesday, April 4th at 10 am as Wise Women of Puerto Vallarta welcomes featured speaker Maria O'Conner. Maria is our very own local attorney-guru, who will be speaking on various legal topics of interest to those living in the PV area, including: Real estate, taxes, wills... anything you can think of! Be sure to stop by Banana Cantina on Friday, April 6th at 9 am for the Breakfast Club! Come and meet new friends, chat with old ones, find out what is going on in the community. This is THE place to network, visit with old friends and make new ones! Don't be shy - bring your business cards or flyers and mingle!
SKIN CLINIC
Is it time to check those funny spots on your body from too much sun? On April 18th, Dr. Velasco, oncologist, will check you from the top of your head to the bottoms of your feet and evaluate those funny little marks! $200 pesos by appointment only.
WISE WOMEN OF PUERTO VALLARTA

GENERAL INFORMATION MEETING
Join us in the Hospital Cornerstone Meeting Room at 10 am on April 26th for a general overview of Hospital Cornerstone services including insurance information, Physician referrals, Medical Emergency Registration Program and lots more! No Charge, but RSVP and bring your questions.
Don't forget that the 4th Annual Altruism Festival is coming in May. Buy your tickets in advance and mark your calendar for this marvelous event! Thanks to the American Consulate, Kelly Trainor, this has become a huge yearly event benefiting 20 local charities. Join in the fun on May 6th at 6 pm at the Marriott Hotel for row after row of Charity booths and local restaurant booths serving all you can eat and drink. Tickets are $300 pesos each and I have tickets for sale!
