Please read the details below and consider becoming a GEM!! 70% OF SHELTERS FOR WOMEN VICTIMS OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE WITHOUT FINANCING. 70% of the shelters for battered women are at risk of closing due to the suspension of a federal government grant that provides 80% or more of the operating budget for these shelters. The lives of many women and children will be put at great risk. It is very clear now that next year, 2020 there will be NO funds available to not for profit organizations in Mexico. It is unclear whether or not there will be any government support this year. We are multiplying our efforts to finance the Banderas Bay Women´s Shelter operation by other means.
