Cabo San Lucas, Baja California Sur – International beer and food pairings are the highlight of the week-long OktobeerFiesta at Casa Dorada Los Cabos’ The B Lounge. The beer festival honors Germany’s world-renowned Oktoberfest and takes place from October 11th-19th.
The week commences on the 11th with the presentation of the Weisnbier beer, a live local rock band and Mexican and German snacks. From the 12th -15th, local beer connoisseur Jordan Gardenhire of Baja Brewing Company, Southern Baja’s only micro-brewery, hosts beer tastings with beers from Germany, Mexico, Asia, and the Mediterranean that will be paired with ethnic fare from their respective regions. Wrapping up the festivities, a Cuban salsa group and DJ spinning the latest tracks perform the 17th and 18th.
OktobeerFiesta events start at 7 p.m. nightly. Casa Dorada offers the OktobeerFiesta package that includes three nights’ accommodations in a Junior Suite, daily open international beer bar from 10 a.m. – 11 p.m., one beer pairing event per person, and all taxes and gratuities. The package for two is $998. When staying in a one bedroom suite, the package for two costs $1,198. OktobeerFiesta events are also open to the public for $30 per person, per night. The B Lounge: With more than 60 different varieties of beer from the world available and ocean-front views of the iconic Land’s End Rock, the new The B Lounge is the latest celebrity hotspot and place to "B" in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. The B Lounge serves beers from Czechoslovakia, Belgium, Thailand, Italy, Argentina and more, including a custom mango-flavored brew. Open daily from 5 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., The B Lounge offers live music every Thursday evening and a daily happy hour from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m.
