If you haven't been to a bANANaCANtiNA Charity Night this season, you are missing a great evening of great food, friendship and fun! Held every Wednesday night, this is one of Puerto Vallarta's most popular weekly events, giving everyone the opportunity to eat, drink and be merry... for a good cause.

The January 28th and February 4th Charity Nights at bANANaCANtiNA were dedicated to helping the Justo Sierra kindergarten. With the help of our new friend Ted from Edmonton, who donated a two-night stay at Hotel Tropicana and other great raffle prizes donated by Cassandra Shaw and Mano a Mano, a cash donation made from my family for my sister's Marsha and Sue on their Special birthday, we raised $4000 pesos!

Thanks to these generous donations, our guests and our wait staff, who not only took great care of all but also sold raffle tickets, the Justo Sierra kindergarten will be able to purchase much needed supplies and buy paint for the school.

This Wednesday, February 11th Banana Cantina Charity Night will benefit Puerto Vallarta's HIV/AIDS non-profit organization, Vallarta Enfrenta el Sida (V.E.S.) and Centro Ambulatorio para la Prevención y Atención de SIDA e Infecciones de Transmisión Sexual, (CAPASITS) the public/private HIV clinic that serves the Banderas Bay region.

V.E.S. and CAPASITS work together to provide high-quality medical care, counseling and psychological support, education and prevention programs, and outreach to at-risk communities in the Banderas Bay area.

The evening will be full of surprises and fun with the famous VES Condoneras escorting guests to their tables and selling raffle tickets for some wonderful prizes, so come on down and have a wonderful meal, a few drinks, and lots of fun with some really wonderful people who do such great work in the Bahía de Banderas area to educate and help anybody in need of their services.

On February 18th, Candace of Fishing With Carolina will host for AUTISMO2, a non-profit Clinic with a Hyperbaric Chamber for those with Autism, MS, Cancer and other serious ailments. Candace is the Hostess with the Mostest for sure, she even sells raffle tickets to the waiters!

Each week Cassandra Shaw donates a gift certificate and a piece of jewelry, and Mano a Mano donates movie tickets, to be raffled off along with other great prizes - so join us on Wednesday nights for great food, drinks, service and lots of fun, while helping us raise funds for local schools and charities.
