The Illinois Senator extended his winning streak over presidential rival Hillary Clinton by decisively winning the states of Virginia, Maryland and the District of Columbia building more momentum in a hard- fought race for the Democratic nomination. On the Republican side, front-runner John McCain racked up three wins in the Potomac Primaries, beating his last major challenger, former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee in Virginia, Maryland and Washington, DC.
