Mortgage Crisis in US Will 'Impact' Mexico

 Specialists at the National Autonomous University of Mexico called on authorities in their country to take immediate measures to strengthen and protect Mexico's internal market before a possible economic crisis in the United States.
 Analysts provided the examples of Japan and Spain, where the private sector and workers supported state regulation of the economy.
 Researchers stated that the Bank of Mexico needs to regulate the financial system because many Mexican banks - the majority of which are foreign-owned - charge exorbitant interest rates to customers to the detriment of the internal market. |
