(SF Productions) | | February 6th marks the date for the biggest and best charity event of the season - the 8th Annual RISE for Hope Fundraising event, a Mexican carnival. The event takes place at the American School from 5-9 pm to benefit the wonderful children living at the Refugio Infantil Santa Esperanza (RISE), a children's shelter in Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, Mexico.
There will be plenty of delicious food from Vallarta's finest restaurants, beverages to enjoy, terrific entertainment, live and silent auctions and loads of fun will be in store for everyone.
Bubba Gump, Trio, Vitae, Café Candela, Outback Steakhouse, Japanice, Mark's Bar and Grill, Trattoria Michel, Barcelona Tapas, Agave Grill and Banana Cantina are among the feature restaurants. Many other local restaurants will provide food to round out the dining choices.
Tickets are now available at $450 pesos per person at Daiquiri Dick's, Riedresser y Associates in Plaza Marina, the Refugio or by contacting Chris Amo at keithamo(at)msn.com or by phone in Puerto Vallarta at (322) 221-5451, or Cristhian Rios at 222-9081. Only a limited number of tickets will be available at the door.

A raffle will be held for great prizes, with the first prize being two round trip coach tickets on either Air Alaska or Horizon Air - Valid for flights in Canada, the United States and Mexico. Raffle tickets are being sold ahead of the event for $20 pesos a ticket or three tickets for $50 pesos, and one doesn't have to be present to win. Click HERE to learn more.

The Refugio Infantil Santa Esperanza is a non-profit shelter for babies and children under the age of 14. Some of these children are orphans but most come from unbearable situations having been abused, neglected, or simply abandoned. R.I.S.E. is a Mexican non-profit charitable organization, which accepts donations through a number of charitable organizations.
