Puerto Vallarta is about to experience two incredible evenings of world-class classical music at Incanto when Donald Moline, accompanied by the talented pianist, Jean-Guy Comeau, will perform cello and piano recitals at Incanto to raise funds for IAMPV (Instituto de Artes Musicales Puerto Vallarta) on Saturdays, February 17 and 24, 2018.
GrammyŠ award winner Donald Moline was awarded the Theodore Thomas Medallion for his 39 years as a member of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and has established a distinguished orchestral, chamber music, solo & recording career. He's performed in virtually every corner of the globe with many of the world's greatest conductors and musicians.
Jean-Guy Comeau who holds degrees in pedagogy, voice and piano, was born in Atlantic Canada and works in Montreal and Puerto Vallarta. His interests include making his contribution to the cultural scene in Vallarta, making music with wonderful musicians and presenting interesting repertoire in the field of jazz, classical and Latin music.
As if this were not enough to have us all running to buy tickets, John Henry Kreitler, a 10-time EMMY-winning composer of concert, film/TV and theatre music who resides part time in Mismaloya, has composed, especially for this event, Canciones de Vallarta, a suite for cello and orchestra which will be performed as a World Premiere.
All of the proceeds from these events will go to IAMPV (Instituto de Artes Musicales Puerto Vallarta) a non-profit organization that provides musical education for students in Puerto Vallarta and the surrounding areas.
Both evenings will begin with drinks and hors d'oeuvres at 6:00 pm followed by a 7:00 pm concert. During the first hour there will be performances by some IAMPV students.
Incanto is located at Insurgentes 109, immediately before the Rio Cuale bridge, on the south side of Puerto Vallarta.
