The downtown area of Puerto Vallarta is the site of the original village and often referred to as "Old Town" or "El Centro." Vallarta's main square, the "Plaza Principal," is bordered by the Malecon on one side and the beautiful Lady of Guadalupe church on the other - a great place to take photographs.
