The "Malecon" is Puerto Vallarta's beloved oceanfront promenade that borders the shoreline along the downtown area's main street, Paseo Diaz Ordaz. El Malecon is a photographer's delight featuring some of the most recognized landmarks in Puerto Vallarta. The collection of Colunga Sculptures that line the boardwalk and the Los Arcos Amphitheater's stone arches are popular places to take vacation photos.
Right across the street are tons of shops and restaurants with plenty of window seats to watch the sunset over Banderas Bay and take pictures of the incredible views. The recently constructed pedestrian bridge over the Cuale River extends the Malecon to the Los Muertos Beach area on the South Side of Vallarta, where you'll find even more shops, dining spots, bars and discos. |
