The Banderas Bay Jazz Allstars performing at Marsala’s in La Cruz de Huanacaxtle, Nayarit, Mexico. (Bryan Savage - sax/flute, Tom Lilienthal - bass, Chas Eller - keyboards)

Nuevo Vallarta, Mexico - On Monday November 14, 2011 the first concert of the 2011-2012 season will take place at the Vallarta Yacht Club. This year's series will feature the Banderas Bay Jazz Allstars. This group, which has become well known in the Banderas Bay area over the past several years, consists of three internationally known musicians, Bryan Savage, Chas Eller and Tom Lilienthal, who live in the area part of the year.

Saxophone and Flute player Bryan Savage has over 20 major label releases and has toured the U.S., Europe, Japan and Canada with Al Stewart, The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, The Amazing Rhythm Aces and John Denver. Credits include a gold record for his sax work on the number one-selling Steve Martin hit single "King Tut", as well as numerous TV appearances in the United States.

Keyboardist Chas Eller has been in the recording industry for over 29 years with studios in Charlotte, Vermont and now Bucerias, Mexico. He performs with the internationally known pop-jazz group Kilimanjaro and was a member for over 25 years of the popular Unknown Blues Band with BB. King alumni Big Joe Burell. Chas has performed across the U. S. and has made numerous festival appearances in Switzerland, The Soviet Union, Holland and Demark as well as touring with blues legend, Paul Butterfield and singer songwriter Elizabeth Van Trapp.

The third member of the group is Electric Bassist Tom Lilienthal. During Tom's career as a professional bassist in the San Francisco Bay Area from the early 1970's until 2007 when he moved to Mexico, he's had the opportunity to play music with many of the world-class musicians that were responsible for creating and furthering the funk, fusion and jazz scene during this important time. He was the leader of the band Festival consisting of Kim Park, Scott Morris, Julie Kelly and Bill Swartz. Tom toured with smooth jazz group Kilimanjaro during their performances at the Java International Jazz Festival in Jakarta, Indonesia last year and has played with Dave Garibaldi, Andy Narell, Susan Muscarella, Dave Le Febvre, Paul McCandless, Steve Erquiaga and Jimmy Pugh.

This performance is open to the public. Tickets for the dinner concert are $250 pesos for VYC Members and $350 pesos for non-members and are available at the Vallarta Yacht Club. Seating is limited.
