The Tournament will be held at the new Marina Riviera Nayarit in La Cruz de Huanacaxtle. Riviera Nayarit is fast becoming known as one of the best fishing destinations in the Americas as its coast offers an abundance of catches like marlin and tuna, as well as top game fish such as sailfish, mahi mahi, grouper, red snapper and wahoo.

The tuna season extends from May to October and the marlin season extends from July through February including blue marlin, black marlin and striped marlin. There are several companies that provide visitors with the opportunity for a full or half day excursion for deep sea fishing including ChappyCharters (Office tel:(52)(322) 209-0615, Cell: (52) (322) 120-6340, website: www.chappycharters.com) and Puerto Vallarta Tours (Toll free: 1-866-217-9704, website: www.puertovallartatours.net).

Whether participating in the tournament or just enjoying a vacation in Riviera Nayarit, there is so much to see and do. Things you should see and do include: visiting Bucerías, a fishing town with cobblestone street known for its seaside restaurants, bars and tiny shops; Islas Marietas, an island wildlife sanctuary, home to many endangered bird species as well as rare coral reefs; Sayulita which is internationally recognized for its outstanding surfing, oceanside restaurants and cafes, luxurious villas and spas; and Rincón de Guayabitos which has been described as the “Hidden Pearl” among the beaches of Nayarit, featuring magnificent diving and fishing spots.

Riviera Nayarit is also popular for its excellent golf and superb spas. There are four world class golf courses in Riviera Nayarit including El Tigre Club De Golf, Flamingos Golf Club and the Mayan Palace Golf Club (all in Nuevo Vallarta). Luxury spas include: Grand Velas Spa at the Grand Velas All Suites and Spa Resort in Nuevo Vallarta, Tatewari Spa at Villas del Palmar and the Apuane Spa at the Four Seasons Resort Punta Mita.
