Over 130 Flight Centre Limited employees recently held executive management, finance, product, marketing and corporate travel conferences in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.

The venue was strategically selected as a result of Flight Centre’s brands, Liberty Travel and GOGO Worldwide Vacations’ dominant ranking in generating tourism to Mexico, and to showcase Mexico as a new destination for 5 new Flight Centre retails brands worldwide, whom now have access to directly contracted Mexico product. Participants came from the USA, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, the United Kingdom, Canada and the USA.

Dean Smith, President of Flight Centre USA, commented, "As an organization, we have always supported Mexico with tremendous success. It is highly significant that as we launch our Global Product Platform across all companies within the Flight Centre organization, that the businesses experience the product, plus the warmth, charm and hospitality of the people of Mexico."

"We have just published the first ever Flight Centre Mexico brochure that is being distributed by more than a thousand of our retail outlets in Australia," said Colette Baruth, Vice President of Latin America Product for Flight Centre Limited. "The Mexican government has been extremely involved in partnering with us to introduce Mexico as a new destination in Australia. Initial results are extremely encouraging with both touring and all-inclusive vacations resonating well with the Australian traveler."

During Sunday evening’s Partner Appreciation Cocktail Party, Melanie Waters-Ryan, who heads Flight Centre’s Global Land and IT proclaimed, "Muchas gracias to our partners of Mexico who have so graciously showed us their exquisite hospitality this past week. We have all seen the pride the people of Mexico have for their country and we look forward to sending more and more people from around the globe on their leisure vacations to Mexico."

Flight Centre USA is one of the newest additions to the Flight Centre Ltd's global network, and is already a leading retailer of leisure travel, wholesale travel products and corporate travel. Flight Centre USA was formed in early 2008 when Flight Centre Ltd. acquired retail-based travel agency Liberty Travel (comprised of 160 store locations and over 700 travel consultants) and its sister company, travel wholesaler GOGO Worldwide Vacations. With the combined power of these two iconic brands and the leadership that has made Flight Centre Ltd. one of the world's largest and most successful travel groups, Flight Centre USA represents a major step in Flight Centre's goal "to open the world for those to want to see."
