London, United Kingdom - The World Travel Market (WTM) taking place on November 8 - 12 at London's Excel Center is the prime event for the tourist industry in the world. This yearly event congregates both sellers and buyers from the different travel industry sectors, and Riviera Nayarit had a successful participation in it as part of Mexico's destinations.

This year, the Riviera Nayarit brand was introduced at Mexico's Pavilion, which was inaugurated last Monday at noon by the Tourism Secretary Gloria Guevara Manzo, together with Mexico's Ambassador in the United Kingdom, Eduardo Medina-Mora Icaza, and the Governor of Quintana Roo, Felix Gonzalez, and Nayarit's Governor, Ney Gonzalez Sanchez, two states that are notable because of their world-class tourist offerings.

Nayarit's Governor Ney Gonzalez Sanchez wished all assistants and expositors from this pavilion a successful week and positive results that will turn into a larger number of tourists, more investments in our country and more jobs, which will surely allow the advancement of the economy of this important sector.

"There is a growing number of Mexican families who are taking advantage of the opportunities generated by the creation of micro, small and medium-sized tourist business to complement the service offerings required by this important industry", said Nayarit's Governor.

The WTM is an exclusive event for members of the touristic industry throughout the world. The event showcases new destinations and the most innovative products, as well as the supply and demand tendencies that will have to be considered to continue being competitive in this industry.

"In the wake of the recovery of the world economy, it's crucial that a destination like Riviera Nayarit, which seeks to position itself amongst the most renowned destinations because of its large and diversified tourist offerings, has consistency in its participation in tourist fairs throughout the world", stated Nayarit's Governor.

The Governor concluded his presentation to the media assembled at the pavilion by saying: "It's true that Mexico has problems, but this isn't the case everywhere, and not everything has to do with drug-related problems and violence. This is why the Federal Government and Nayarit's Government are working together to introduce our best asset: peaceful, working, and enthusiastic people who like to dance, are great hosts, and represent a culture that lives in harmony with nature and enjoys is traditions".
