Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - International promotion of our destination are progressing smoothly, this time due to Funjet Vacation’s efforts. The tour operator is well aware that the key to their success lies in maintaining itself active and relative in the minds of their commercial allies and travel agents.

Puerto Vallarta is part of their orientation program that includes a series of events launching their new products. Said events began on August 15th and continue through the 18th in four of Funjet’s key cities.

In an effort to interact with the region’s top travel agencies, each of these events offer pertinent information to hotel providers and attending destinations. The events are scheduled annually and are by invitation only.

Puerto Vallarta is being represented by its Tourism Trust promotor, Ana Regla, who is accompanied by a variety of hotel representatives including Sunset Plaza, Crowne Paradise Club, Golden Club Paradise, Hotel Las Palmas, Canto del Sol, Buenaventura Hotels, Villa Group, Playa Los Arcos and Vamar Vallarta.

The schedule consists of visiting four cities: Saint Louis, MO on August 15th, Minneapolis, MN August 16th, Chicago IL August 17th and Milwaukee, WI August 18th. Each event is expecting between 150 to 200 travel agents in attendance. The format will consist of a dinner presentation, followed by a trade show, where exhibitors will have the opportunity of interacting face to face with the travel agents.

All events, entitled “Jalisco es México,” were organized in collaboration with Jalisco’s Tourism Department, Guadalajara’s Convention and Visitors Bureau, whose main objective is to promote travel to one of Mexico’s most recognized state. Puerto Vallarta will unveil its new Malecón this October, just in time for this year’s PanAmerican Games hosted by Jalisco and yet another great attraction to this multifaceted state.
