August 4, 2011

October 16-23, Puerto Vallarta will host four of the Guadalajara 2011 Pan-American Games sporting events: Deep Water Swimming, the Triathalon, Sailing and beach volleyball.

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - In an effort to help promote the XVI Pan American Games Guadalajara 2011 here in Vallarta, and join forces with the Department of Economic Promotion (SEPROE), CANACO (National Chamber of Commerce) and ServyTur (Tourism Services) have agreed to promote the Games through their allied practices.

CANACO’s President, Carlos Gerard Guzmán, stated that new information promoting the Games scheduled for October will be disbursed to over 3,500 members of chamber and allied associates. Likewise, taxis will bear the official sticker promoting this year’s big sporting event.

Guzmán also made a point to express that Puerto Vallarta will be hosting four sport categories: beach volleyball, open water swimming sailing and the triathlon; and stressed his full support.

SEPROE’s Secretary, Alonso Ulloa Vélez, held an open invitation to small businesses and urged them to participate in this promotional campaign, hence receiving regular updates on services provided for events like the PanAmerican Games and Tourism Expo.
