September 9, 2011

Riviera Nayarit is celebrating Mexico's Independence by taking care of the environment. On September 17, Punta Sayulita is hosting a beach cleanup and stand-up paddle event.

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - In Riviera Nayarit, luxury means nature, and celebrating Mexico’s Independence at our destination offers you a unique opportunity to rest, have fun and enjoy nature.

Riviera Nayarit has prepared a number of discounts to celebrate the upcoming long holiday weekend to celebrate Mexico's Independence on September 15 to 18. These discounts range from 25 to 40% at many of the destination's hotels, and several organizations are also inviting you to participate in the International Coastal Cleanup organized by Ocean Conservancy on September 17, which will include a beach cleanup event and a Stand Up Paddle competition in Sayulita.

Several properties in our destination have organized Mexican Fiestas, promotions and many surprises, which you can check on the Special Offers section of the CVB's website, RivieraNayarit.com. Come celebrate September 15 and 16 and the enjoyment that characterizes our destination.

Afterwards, you'll be able to participate in the 26th International Coastal Cleanup event on Saturday, September 17 at 9:30 am at Casa de Playa in Punta Sayulita. Individuals across the globe participate in this event, which has now arrived in Riviera Nayarit, a destination preferred by surfers worldwide.

After the cleanup event there will be races and Stand Up Paddle competitions, and some prizes will be offered to participants.

Riviera Nayarit is committed to its natural surroundings, as they are one of the region's key attractions. The area's natural beauty makes it a sanctuary for humpback whales, giant rays, whale sharks and marine turtles, and the most important destination on the American Continent for bird watching. "El Grito" at Riviera Nayarit will be this and so much more.
