Tinker Juarez's latest incarnation as a mountain bike racer has catapulted him to Olympic levels, where he currently holds court with other gods of the sport.

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - Tinker Juarez will lead a challenging camp for mountain biking enthusiasts at the Riviera Nayarit's famed Hotel Cinco.

Tinker has been turning the biking world on its head since he flashed onto the BMX scene back in 1978. His latest incarnation as a mountain bike racer and ultra-distance road bike racer has catapulted him to Olympic levels, where he currently holds court with other gods of the sport.

On the first day of camp, which is also offered as a single-day option, Tinker will take riders along a single track in Bucerías, deep into the jungle to have lunch at the private Rancho Jaguar reserve.

For those who want to go for more, Tinker will guide a thrilling ride from the village of San Sebastian, 4,500 feet high in the Sierra Madre mountains, back down to sultry Puerto Vallarta. This one will be more than just a biking tour, participants will be learning tips from a master.

The third day of camp they will explore the ancient petroglyphs of Alta Vista, tucked away near the beachside village of Chacala, by mountain bike.

Detailed Agenda

The camp will begin with a Welcome Cocktail party, where participants will meet Tinker and see ride routes and start times while enjoying a beautiful sunset from the best spot in the village, the Barefoot Bar on Hotel Cinco´s rooftop.

On the first full camp day Tinker will take you on a 4 hour single track ride, returning by the afternoon for time to surf or paddle surf.

On the second day, participants will be taken to San Sebastian where they will explore the village before riding back down the mountain for lunch in Puerto Vallarta. They will have the rest of the afternoon to catch some waves or take a whale watching or snorkeling tour.

Dinner will be hosted by Cinco’s restaurant Local Harvest. After dinner, participants will enjoy of a slide show with Tinker and Terri, “The Life and Times of Tinker Juarez.“

The 3-day camp begins on February 24th and the cost per person is $850 USD. The price includes all meals, transport, SUP’s surfboards, rides, and snacks. Accommodations and airfare are extra. There is a special single day option on Friday, Feb. 24th that includes the ride and lunch for just $85 USD.

The camp is limited to only 12 people so, needless to say, book it soon to be assured a spot.
