February 17, 2012

‘Hook the Cure Powered by IOTEC’ event organizers recently announced that they will be returning to the beautiful Banderas Bay area from November 8-11, 2012.

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - Fishing and golfing enthusiasts return to Puerto Vallarta as "Hook the Cure Powered by IOTEC" gets set for another fantastic weekend filled with fun, frivolity, and entertainment.

‘Hook the Cure Powered by IOTEC’ is a catch-and-release fishing tournament held every year with the two goals of presenting guests with a fabulous weekend while receiving donations for a good cause. Event organizers recently announced that they will be returning to the beautiful Banderas Bay area from November 8-11, 2012.

In the last six years, the tournament has raised a net of $2 million dollars; much-needed funds for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation's life-saving research, patient care, education, and advocacy programs.

The IGFA qualifying event, part of the Redbone Tournament Series, is sponsored by IOTEC, BJ's Restaurants, Watson Land Company, Norm Wilson & Sons, Millie and Severson, Lancaster Development, American Airlines, and many others.

The event will once again be aptly chaired by Bob Huston and Jeff Jennison. Volunteers for the four-day event are coordinated by PVRPV, Healthcare Resources, Xocodiva, Charter Dreams, and Andale's.

Hook the Cure is not your every day catch-and-release fishing tournament. This is a fishing event where not only do our participants enjoy one of the greatest fishing locales in the world but also enjoy first-class all-inclusive accommodations at the Villa Premiere Hotel and Spa. They will enjoy gourmet meals, relaxing spa treatments, world-class golf at Vista Vallarta Club de Golf, and a spectacular auction hosted by Los Angeles' radio personality Shawn Parr. There will also be headline entertainment by Nashville recording artist and award winning singer/songwriter Lucas Hoge.

For more information on the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation or the event, visit hookthecure.com or contact Gary Green in Puerto Vallarta at 322-150-7214 or in the US at (714) 494-4623.

The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation is the leading organization in the United States devoted to curing and controlling Cystic Fibrosis. Headquartered in Bethesda, Md., the Foundation has more than 80 chapters and branch offices throughout the country and supports and accredits a nationwide network of more than 115 care centers, which provide vital treatments and other CF resources to patients and families.
