The largest and most powerful boats in the world will be in Riviera Nayarit competing in eight races over the course of seven days, starting March 11, 2012.

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - The largest and most powerful boats in the world will be in Riviera Nayarit competing in eight races over the course of seven days.

The Mexorc class, with more than five categories, will be the most spectacular division in the Regata Copa México Edición Nextel Bicentenario, which will be held at the Marina Riviera Nayarit at La Cruz de Huanacaxtle.

The thrill will begin on March 11, when 25 ships from over 10 countries will compete over 25 nautical miles for the President Cup.

The following days will offer four adrenaline-filled races of windward-leeward, in eight nautical mile races, as well as the Copa de Oro, a 10 nautical mile race, and a 25 nautical mile race to the Marietta Islands, and a more competitive and longer competition that is yet to be defined.

These yachts have the entire infrastructure needed to live on board, and being propelled by the wind, they have unlimited autonomy, allowing them to navigate across the globe.

Recommendations To The Public:

Because these regattas take place in open water, these are the suggested times for the public to enjoy the experience at Marina Riviera Nayarit:

• 11 am – 12 pm Sailboat departures
• 4 pm – 6 pm Sailboat arrivals
