Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - Trip Advisor, one of the world's busiest and most influential travel websites, has announced the 2012 Traveler's Choice Awards for the best hotels in Mexico. Five properties in the Bay of Banderas region have been honored with spots on this prestigious list.

In the number 3 spot is the Taheima Wellness Resort & Spa, located near the El Tigre Golf Course in Nuevo Vallarta. Taheima received 91 excellent reviews. One traveler noted, "This place is a treasure, so if you got a deal, you won't believe how lucky you are!"

Number four on the list is Villa La Estancia on Flamingos Beach in Nuevo Vallarta, which received 220 excellent reviews. One traveler noted, that the hotel is "Awesome, the best hotel I've ever stayed in."

The St. Regis Punta Mita Resort, Carr. Federal 200, km 19.5, Punta de Mita, took the number five spot, with 224 excellent reviews. "...This is a beautiful property with impeccable service," one of the reviewers noted.

Number seventeen on the list is Hotel Cinco, #5 Avenida El Anclote, Punta de Mita, Mexico (Formerly The Hotel des Artistes del Mar), about which it was said, "Everything about this hotel is great. It has it all and doesn't leave you asking for more." Hotel Cinco received 65 excellent reviews.

And finally, the number twenty-two spot went to the Four Seasons Punta Mita, which actually garnered the most excellent reviews at 319. One traveler noted that they, "Loved the Hotel and the location. Service was unbelievable. The pool and the views were to die for. We loved the place so much we bought a residence club."
