Riviera Nayarit Hosts Nat'l Cheerleading Competition

March 12, 2013

The National Cheerleading Competition will take place at the Hard Rock Hotel Vallarta from March 14th through 16th. Some six hundred cheerleaders representing 30 teams from all over Mexico will participate.

Riviera Nayarit, Mexico - Some six hundred cheerleaders representing 30 teams from all over Mexico will participate at the National Cheerleading Competition, which will take place on March 14 to 16 at the Hard Rock Hotel Vallarta in this destination.

The competition is being organized by the Cheerleading Association of Nayarit (APEN), and is being supported by the Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) of Riviera Nayarit. The event is once again taking place in Mexico's Pacific Treasure, after the success of a previous selection event that took place in November 2011.

The competition will attract some of the most renowned experts in Mexico and will also have a panel of international judges from prestigious organizations like Varsity and ICU. There will also be specialized workshops running in parallel with the main event.

The CVB of Riviera Nayarit has placed the event and conventions segment as a priority within the marketing framework for our destination, as these contribute directly to selling room nights and attaining the objectives set forward by the State Government headed by Roberto Sandoval - attracting tourism to Nayarit for the benefit of it's people.

Successful events like this one also become word-of-mouth publicity once the attendants - who are usually opinion leaders - return home and share their experiences in Riviera Nayarit, therefore attracting new visitors.
