go to original
March 28, 2013

PV International Airport will soon be seeing more daily non-stop flights arriving. At the 2013 Tiangius Turistico several new alliances were made between major airlines and resorts to promote Mexico tourism

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - As part of Tianguis Turistico 2013, held last week in Puebla, Mexico, MLT Vacations announced an increase in its airline partners' non-stop service, as well as the addition of new resorts to its Mexico product offerings.

Elizabeth Moriarty, MLT's vice president for product development, filled us in on the news. "Delta Air Lines will be flying daily from Los Angeles to Puerto Vallarta. Historically, this flight was offered just once a week, but as of July 1st it will be offered daily."

"Mexico's Pacific side needs our support," she says. "We are launching aggressive sales initiatives to increase demand."

Delta will also be adding non-stop flights from LA to Guadalajara and Aeromexico has added four summer non-stop flights from Los Angeles to Cancun and Huatulco.

The new resorts added to the product offerings are the Valentin Imperial Maya and the Luxury Bahia Principe Sian Kaán in Riviera Maya. Both properties are adults only and will be available for booking as of April 30th. They are offered through Delta Vacations, United Vacations, and Aeromexico Vacations.

Tesoros de Mexico and Aeromexico Team Up

Also announced at the tourism conference last week is the alliance of Tesoros de Mexico Hotels and Restaurants Quality Circle and Aeromexico. The companies are teaming up to promote luxury tourism in Mexico by launching a series of collaborative promotions and marketing strategies.

The goal of the partnership is to earn Mexico a reputation in premium national and international markets by promoting Tesoros de Mexico’s 80 boutique hotels and gourmet restaurants via various Aeromexico Master Plan Packages, which will offer paired air passage and hotel stays, in addition to individualized services.

The 80 hotels span 10 states, including Chiapas, Mexico City, Guanajuato, Jalisco, Michoacan, Morelos, Puebla, Oaxaca, Queretaro, and Yucatan, all of which can be reached with Aeromexico.

The Tesoros de Mexico is a decade old luxury quality circle whose stated mission is to provide "exclusiveness and excellence in the quality of personalized service in historic Mexican settings steeped in splendor and refinement."
