Vallarta Welcomes First 'Mexico Rewards' Winner

October 15, 2013

Lori Ruffolo of Chicago-based Travel Forum Inc. won the Mexico Tourism Board’s 'Mexico Rewards' contest and received a 7-night stay at Casa Velas, a 6 Dinner Dine Around, and other great prizes.

Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, Mexico – The Puerto Vallarta Tourism Board welcomed the first winner of the Mexico Tourism Board’s 'Mexico Rewards' program last week with a Mariachi-led welcoming reception for Lori Ruffolo of Chicago-based Travel Forum Inc.

Ruffolo won a 7-night stay in the Governor Suite of Casa Velas, spa treatments, a 6 Dinner Dine Around, starting with a visit to La Leche, a round of golf for 2 at the Vista Vallarta Golf Course, and a sunset sailing tour.

Mexico Rewards program invited travel agents to register sales to Mexico for a chance to win prizes through December 31, 2013. In this case, the winner registered the largest number of bookings to the Vallarta-Nayarit region from February 1st to April 30th.

The Tourism Board's Mexico Rewards program is part of the $10 million USD Vallarta-Nayarit promotional campaign currently underway in North American markets, and was coordinated by Travel Weekly.

The Vallarta-Nayarit campaign will also include a fam trip, called 'Discover Vallarta-Nayarit,' where 75 North American travel agents will experience the region for 3 nights. The trip, which departs on November 12, includes accommodations, round trip airfare with United Airlines, local transportation and meals.

Those interested in participating in this trip should contact Jacqueline Hurst at jhurst(at)travelweekly.com.
