Rise & Run! 1st Punta Mita 5k Fun Race February 15th

February 7, 2014

To celebrate the opening of the new Punta Mita Recreational Route, the St. Regis Resort is organizing the Inaugural Punta Mita 5K Fun Run on Saturday, February 15. Click HERE for more info.

Riviera Nayarit, Mexico - Over the past few weeks, folks living in and around Punta Mita have been getting 'revved up' about the opening of the new Punta Mita Recreational Route. This path, which extends from the St. Regis to the Palm Court turnaround, extends the options for running trails and complements the 2 existing routes (from the main entry to the Palm Court, and from the Palm Court to the Four Seasons).

To celebrate this wonderful addition to the community, The St. Regis Punta Mita is organizing the Inaugural Punta Mita 5K Fun Run on Saturday, February 15th.

The St. Regis Resort is planning to organize a series of Fun Runs, each with a different theme, focusing less on breaking records and more on getting active and having a good time. Fun runs are a great way for beginners to get motivated and for seasoned athletes to break up the monotony of training.

This first race in their series of Fun Runs will be the "Punta Mita Color Run," an event designed to promote healthiness and happiness by bringing the community together to celebrate our new running path.

The Punta Mita Color Run is a five-kilometer, timed race where our 'Color Runners,' will be doused from head to toe in different colors at each kilometer. There are only two simple rules: Wear white at the starting line and finish plastered in color!

And the fun doesn't end at the finish line, it will continue at the St. Regis Lobby area, with a Finish Festival that will include a late informal stand up breakfast, music, and prizes for the winners in the Men's, Ladies', and Junior's (men and ladies under 14) categories.

The registration fee is $150 Pesos, and, as is tradition in all St. Regis special events, they are supporting the community by donating the registrations fees of the race to our local Punta Mita Foundation.
