Vallarta Bugambilia Festival is Just Around the Corner!

Scheduled for May 9-11th, the 2014 Vallarta Bugambilia Festival is chock-full of fun and exciting events for the entire family! Mark your calendars now, and come explore and enjoy springtime in Puerto Vallarta.

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - The Second Annual Bugambilia Festival is just around the corner! Get your tickets now for the two special events, and check the listings below so you won't miss any of the free events scheduled to take place May 9-11 at Parque Lazaro Cardenas.

Opening Night Cocktails and Floral Show - On Friday night, May 9th from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Oscar's Restaurant on Isla Cuale will host the 2014 Bugambilia Festival opening night cocktail party. You'll enjoy a welcome "Margavillea" Cocktail, tastings by Dorward Whiskey & Council of Raicilla, free appetizers and an open bar along with a Floral Show by Vallarta's Top Floral Designers, and Music by Piel Canala.

Bugambilia Brunch & Fashion Show - On Sunday, May 11th from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm, Le Bistro Jazz Café on Isla Cuale will host a fabulous Sunday Brunch with Mimosas and your choice of four entrees; a Fashion Show featuring the designs of Eduardo Rocha and Yozozky with styles from Seraphina; and Music by the Los Polvitos children's Mariachi band, and Aldo.

Free Bugambilia Festival Events
All three evenings, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, there will be food stands, artisan booths and special events from 7-10 pm at Lazaro Cardenas Park.

Friday, May 9, 2014

7-10 pm - Kid's activities, including Magicians, face painting, clowns, and more!

8:30 pm - Opening Ceremonies and Flower Ribbon Cutting

8:30-10 pm - Live music featuring Daniel Portela, Jorge Acosta and Beata Stankiewicz

Saturday, May 10, 2014

7–10 pm - Mexican Fiesta at Parque Lazaro Cardenas will be a celebration of all things Mexico. Enjoy Folkloric dancers, Mariachi music and an incredible variety show produced by Act II Entertainment from 9:00 pm until 11:00 pm. For the kids, there will be magicians, clowns, face painting, piñatas, contests, and more!

8:00 pm - 2014 Bugambilia Festival Parade, starting at the north end of the Malecon and ending at Parque Lazaro Cardenas. The parade will feature Miss Vallarta finalists, Mariachis, Folkloric dancers, BICI en Vallarta, and all that is colorful and wonderful about Vallarta.

Sunday, May 11, 2014

9:00 am - Zumbathon coordinated by Shanti Studios at Parque Lazaro Cardenas. Get up early and join in the fun... or just come watch the fun!

7-10 pm - Fun in the Park - After a much needed siesta, return to Parque Lazaro Cardenas and enjoy the Pooch Parade. There will also be Balloon Art, Soccer Net Games, Hat Dances and Piñata Games for the kids. At 7:00 pm there will be a Chili Dog Eating Contest, followed by Salsa dancing demonstrations, performances by Maraki Circus, Alfredo Mendoza, Folklor Mexicano, and Alarke - Danza Maya, a drum and fire dance show, and Shanti Studios' HipHop and Salsa Rueda Dance teams. The Bugambilia Festival will close with a big Salsa Dance Party.

The Bugambilia Festival showcases what Puerto Vallarta is all about; a strong sense of community, remarkably friendly folks, a vibrant culture, good times, great food, and a natural beauty not found elsewhere.
