San Blas, Riviera Nayarit, Mexico - With award-winning catches in all categories (Sailfish, Marlin and Dorado), the 54th International San Blas Fishing Tournament, which took place on the Riviera Nayarit from May 28 through June 1st, was another huge success.

During the third and final day of the tournament (Sunday, June 1) a lot of different teams showed up to weigh their catches, proving that it was a fabulous day for sport fishing.

In a family-friendly atmosphere filled with fun and excitement, the awards ceremony took place around 6:00 pm, bringing the 54th edition of this great sport fishing tournament, which is fast becoming known as "The Best in the Mexican Pacific," to a close.

In addition to the automobiles awarded to those who presented the 4 best weights in each category, a special raffle was held for the contestants who did not win an award, giving them a chance to win a 2015 Nissan as well.

In addition to the cars, there were special awards and sportfishing equipment provided by the Tepic Sport Fishing Club and event sponsors, which were raffled off among all participants who did not appear in the standings.

At 6:55 pm, Secretary of Economic Development, Sr. José Luis Naya, officially closed the grand event on behalf of the Governor of the State of Nayarit.

Organizers are now preparing for the 3rd Annual La Cruz International Fishing Tournament, which begins on October 15th and ends on October 19th and will offer 3.5 million pesos in prizes. More information will be posted as details are made available.
