First Nayarit Ocean Fest at B Nayar Village & Resort

June 16, 2016

The mission of the First Annual Nayarit Ocean Fest, to be held June 26th at B Nayar Village & Resort, is to celebrate the ocean and collaborate on how to protect the beautiful Bay of Banderas at our doorstep.

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - Mark your calendars for June 26th! The First Annual Nayarit Ocean Fest at B Nayar Village & Resort is right around the corner and is promising to be an event you really don't want to miss. The mission of the event is to celebrate the ocean and collaborate on how to protect the beautiful Bay of Banderas at our doorstep.

The ocean is the lifeblood of planet Earth and all of its inhabitants. Oceans flow over nearly three-quarters of our planet, hold 97 percent of the planet's water, and are vital for Earth and all the life she supports. Oceans produce more than half of the oxygen in the Earth's atmosphere, and absorbs most of the carbon from it. No matter where we live, each of us affect - and are affected by - the ocean.

For those of you who may not know, it was Jacques Cousteau who was responsible for appealing to the Mexican government in the 1960's to preserve Las Islas Marietas as a national park to protect it's delicate eco-system. The Cousteau Society is an official sponsor of Nayarit Ocean Fest. Francine Cousteau says:

"It is always good to hear about people and communities dedicated to spreading awareness of ocean conservation. We appreciate your desire to share the work of the Cousteau Society, and to help spread Captain Cousteau's message of preservation and education to the Bay of Banderas."

The event will be hosted by B Nayar Village & Resort in La Cruz de Huanacaxtle. Under the sales & marketing expertise of Timothy Real Estate Group, B Nayar Village & Resort is becoming an 'event-full' place, designed specifically to host a calendar of highly memorable events.

It will be a place that both in-house and external event planners and programmers find extremely user-friendly. Monthly wine and food pairings will start in August. B Nayar Village & Resort wants to be a community creator in a world where people are feeling increasingly detached from community.

Fee for entry to the event, which will be held from 2-8:30 pm, is $100 pesos for adults and $50 for children, with all proceeds going to the La Cruz education fund that is being set up in collaboration with Fundacion Punta de Mita, who are also exhibitors.

Highlights of the day will include:

• An ocean biology talk with Cait Barnum
• Stand up Paddleboard (SUP) races
• SUP Polo
• Starship Races
• Yoga on the Beach
• DJ Nick Challed
• Cirque graduates, Prana Colectivo
