August 15, 2016

According to O'Sullivan, participants shouldn't simply count on landscape ops. Photo treks will also present a variety of unique shooting situations. For more information, visit FourSeasonsWorkshop.com.

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - While selfies and Smartphone images tend to dominate current efforts of capturing memories, many diehards still rely on more traditional photography to chronicle golden moments while on the road or during day-to-day life.

From October 31 through November 4, Four Seasons Resort Punta Mita will welcome photographers of all skill levels to Riviera Nayarit's stunning landscape for a rare opportunity to learn from a pair of celebrated U.S.-based professional shutterbugs.

Robert Caplin and Peter Lockley will be on hand to lead on-location shoots, guided workshops, one-on-one editing encounters peppered with constructive critiques and instructor demonstrations.

"We are delighted to partner with renowned photographers Robert Caplin and Peter Lockley to offer our guests the chance to embark on a visual journey throughout the stunning and diverse landscapes of Punta Mita and the Riviera Nayarit," says John O'Sullivan, the resort's general manager.

"The workshop is created for photography enthusiasts of all skill levels to fuel their passion for finding beauty and magnificence through the lens of their camera," O'Sullivan says. "And we are positive they will find that here as they discover the wonders of Punta Mita."

Between image-centric excursions, participants can refuel in ultimate luxury within the resort's Mexican-style casitas that inspire with gorgeous views of white sand beaches and turquoise waters. They are also welcomed to indulge in a bevy of culinary experiences that run amok from tequila blending to indigenous outdoor cooking classes. Guests relax and refuel with Four Seasons' pristine white sand beaches and fresh immersive culinary experiences.

Known for their individual contributions to leading publications, Lockley and Caplin lead the way to such colorful, vibrant settings as the lively fish market of La Cruz and artsy ex-pat surfing mecca of Sayulita.

According to O'Sullivan, participants shouldn't simply count on landscape ops. Photo treks will also present a variety of unique shooting situations that include portraits, plus situations that help individuals recognize how natural and artificial light help refine and develop skills.

Throughout the clinic, these photographers share their collective knowledge via inspiring lectures and hands-on gear demonstrations, personalized and engaging feedback, and analysis to further develop and refine participant's abilities. The ultimate goal is to leave participants refreshed and eager to continue along their personal photographic journey.

Pricing for the workshop is from $4,999 USD for a single participant. That rate includes all workshop fees, daily breakfast and Four Seasons Resort Punta Mita garden view double room luxury accommodations. Ocean view and beachfront rooms are also available for an additional cost. Participants will also enjoy an arrival hosted cocktail reception and gourmet farewell dinner as a program finale.

O'Sullivan recommends that participants bring their own camera. That said, however, cameras and additional equipment will be available for participants to check out prior to, during or following the workshop. Four Seasons Resort Punta Mita reservations are available at FourSeasonsWorkshop.com.
