Mexico City, Mexico - Following the successful debut of the World Golf Championships-Mexico Championship thanks in the largest part to our volunteers, the PGA TOUR has announced that volunteer registration is now open for the 2018 event that continues to be part of one of the premier stops on the PGA TOUR and one of the four World Golf Championships events, which is set to return to Club de Golf Chapultepec, February 28-March 4, in Mexico City.

The tournament highly recognizes its volunteers for their passion and willingness to help, which makes it possible to keep the event running smoothly. For 2018, the tournament is seeking to recruit 1,200 volunteers to be part of this great experience atone of the most valued venues in Mexico City, while enjoying the Mexican culture and its vibrant traditions.

Volunteer opportunities range from acting as on-course marshals and as walking scorers, to assisting with player transportation, course set-up and other responsibilities involved in championship operations.

Volunteers can register via the online application.

"Volunteering at a world-class event like the Mexico Championship is a rewarding opportunity to get involved and positively impact the community while getting to witness the best players in the world compete on a global stage," said Gerald Goodman, Executive Director of the World Golf Championships-Mexico Championship.

"Volunteers are an integral piece of the operation of the tournament, and this event would not be possible without the tireless efforts of the hundreds of volunteers that commit their time before, during and after the event."

Volunteer opportunities are available in several different committees, but each volunteer is required to work at least three (3) full days. The deadline for all applications is October, 2017. Each volunteer will receive a Volunteer Package, which includes: a 2018 weekly badge, golf shirt, golf outerwear, logoed cap or visor, complimentary breakfast and lunch on the days they work.
