Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - The Puerto Vallarta soccer team continued their winning streak last weekend in the municipality of Tuxcacuesco, defeating the home team 4-3 in their first game of the second phase of the 2019 Jalisco Cup.

In the first half of the match, goals were scored by PV players Edgar Donaldo Gutiérrez Ortiz and Luis Alberto Vázquez Martínez; the third goal went to César Arturo Vázquez Camarillo, bringing the number of goals he's scored throughout the Jalisco Cup to 17; and the fourth goal was made by Rafael Navarro López, in the last few minutes of the match.

On behalf of the Municipal President, Arturo Dávalos Peña, the director of the Municipal Sports Council (Comude), José Amador Hernández Madrigal, congratulated the Vallarta team, their technical director and his assistant, Víctor Manuel Langarica García and Tomás Morales Cabrera, respectively.

Next weekend, the Tuxcacuesco players will come to Puerto Vallarta to meet our boys for a second match that will determine which of the two teams will move on to the next phase. The winner of this game could face the team from the municipality of Cihuatlán.

It should be mentioned that the Tuxcacuesco team managed to sneak into the tournament's second phase by positioning itself as the third best team in the groups, after a sanction was imposed on the municipality of Mazamitla.

The Puerto Vallarta vs Tuxcacuesco soccer re-match is scheduled for Saturday, July 27, at 4:00 pm. It will be played on court #1 of the Agustín Flores Contreras sports stadium, and everyone is encouraged to come out and cheer them on.
