The Carnival Panorama, the cruise line's newest ship, successfully completed sea trials in the Adriatic as its construction in Marghera, Italy, comes to an end. Once the final touches are complete, the 3,960 passenger Panorama will be Carnival Cruise Line's first new ship to sail the West Coast in more than two decades.
"Carnival Panorama is a wonderful addition to the fleet, and she passed all of her maneuvers and tests with flying colors," said Carnival Panorama's captain, Carlo Queirolo.
The ship will depart Long Beach on December 11, 2019, for its inaugural three-night voyage to Ensenada. Starting on December 14, Carnival Panorama will sail year-round seven-night Mexican Riviera cruises to Puerto Vallarta, Cabo San Lucas and Mazatlán.
During these Mexican Riviera cruises, guests can relax on world-class beaches, visit centuries-old historical sites, enjoy unforgettable dining and shopping opportunities, and experience exciting tours and activities.
Carnival Panorama will feature some amenities that the line's other ships don't have, including the first Sky Zone trampoline park at sea and a new ChooseFun WaterWorks aqua park inspired by the line's chief fun officer, Shaquille O'Neal. It will also have passenger favorites like Guy's Pig & Anchor Bar-B-Que Smokehouse Brewhouse by Food Network star Guy Fieri.
The Vista-class cruise ship's accommodation options include Havana (tropics-inspired staterooms with their own Cuban-themed bar and pool), Family Harbor (featuring extra-roomy staterooms and the Family Harbor Lounge) and Cloud 9 Spa staterooms that offer special amenities and privileges.Sources: carnival-news.com • cruisecritic.com
