Under the Sea
Joshua Harbour

Explore a space where the unknown is waiting to be discovered and where you shall gaze upon a world so unique that time has yet to discover all of its mysteries, a universe where the exotic is commonplace, yet unseen... a world that is waiting to be experienced.

Imagine your children getting a close-up view of an array of tropical fish, octopus, lobsters, moray eels and other exotic sea life from within the safety of an underwater viewing gallery. This is what you will encounter aboard the Nautilus Vallarta's daily expeditions to the famous Los Arcos Underwater National Park, where an extensive variety of marine life flourishes.

Upon exploring the Nautilus Vallarta, you get an immediate sense of its comfort and unique design. The Nautilus is a high-tech 50' semi-submersible ship that holds up to 45 passengers on padded seats that line the perimeter topside and seating in the viewing gallery below, which is where the true secret of the Nautilus' success is kept: wall to wall, panoramic views of the world that is hidden beneath the ocean.

The Nautilus is US Coast Guard approved and was designed by the inventors of SNUBA (a form of SCUBA diving in which air is supplied to the diver from a tube above the water.) These designers employed fail-safe measures to ensure your safety while enjoying the unique nature of the all glass, underwater viewing gallery.

But the designers didn't stop there. Air-conditioned, well lit, and fitted with a great sound system, the gallery provides a comfortable atmosphere where you can enjoy a crystal clear view of the mysterious depths of the sea without getting wet. Handy picture guides are provided so that the various types of sea life encountered can be easily identified.

Specially formulated fish food is used to attract marine life in order to ensure that a variety of species will be encountered on each voyage. The owners of the Nautilus Vallarta have gone to great lengths to ensure that these provisions are both ecologically sound and biodegradable. Genetically engineered by scientists in California, it is both nutritional and safe for the fragile aquatic environment. Approved for the same use in California, Hawaii, and other states, it is being shipped to Vallarta especially for the Nautilus Vallarta's use on their daily cruises.

The Nautilus Vallarta departs daily from the Los Muertos Pier offering an unforgettable ecological adventure for the whole family. Passengers have the option of taking a guided snorkeling tour in the waters around the arches and to enjoy delicious snacks and cold drinks that are served by a friendly, knowledgeable staff.

AdventurMex operates the Nautilus Vallarta in association with Discover Tours, a subdivision of Mexico's Vacation Adventures. They will soon be offering SCUBA and SNUBA tours, and a new 60' semi-submersible is scheduled to arrive in the near future.
