Located on Mexico's Costa Alegre between Manzanillo and Puerto Vallarta, Costa Careyes is probably one of the most interesting areas along the Mexican Pacific coast. Surrounded by thick jungle vegetation and the rugged Sierra Madre Mountain ranges, this remote and pristine paradise was virtually uninhabited until less than two decades ago.

Founded in 1968 by a discerning Italian banker who had searched the world for the optimum environment in which to live well amidst unspoiled nature, over the past two decades Careyes has evolved into a sophisticated tropical paradise where an international community of residents and exclusive travelers can indulge their every whim.

Famed for its fine beaches and rugged tropical scenery, Costa Careyes is home to a charming array of sophisticated, secluded, boutique resorts and hotels that grace this beautiful coastline - including Las Casas de Careyes, Las Alamandas, Cuixmala, Hacienda San Antonio, and an 18-hole, championship golf resort at El Tamarindo.

Cost Careyes offers something for everyone. With an always-pleasing climate, temperatures averaging 75° F and 345 days of sunshine annually, sailing, scuba diving, snorkeling, tennis and horseback riding are year-round options. Add to this tiny fishing villages and an array of hidden beaches, bays and lagoons filled with exotic water birds - and this entire stretch of coastline is ideal for those who wish to escape for a while from the rapid pace of big cities.

Vallarta Adventures offers regularly scheduled flights from Puerto Vallarta to this extraordinary destination every Wednesday through Saturday at 5 pm. Return flights from Chamela to Puerto Vallarta are available Thursday-Sunday at 9 am. One-way tickets cost just $150 per person, and the plane is available for extended trips to Cuixmala or Las Alamandas for a flat fee of just $320 per flight.

Vallarta Adventures' airplanes have the capacity to comfortably seat up to 14 people, and are perfect for group travel, special interests groups, or group tours and activities. Book your trip to Costa Alegre now and discover the unspoiled beauty, warmth, and charm of the Pacific Coast area of Jalisco, Mexico.
