Puerto Vallarta is home to a variety of charities that offer everyone the opportunity to enhance the lives of those who are in need of help.
Puerto Vallarta - Kelly Trainor, US consul in Puerto Vallarta, recently announced this year's International Altruism Festival is scheduled to be held on May 15, 2005 from 6-9 pm at the Marriott Casamagna Hotel. Last year's event, held at the Westin Regina, was a huge success, raising $272,560 pesos for local charities.

Puerto Vallarta is home to a variety of charities and non-profit organizations that offer everyone the opportunity to enhance the lives of those who are in need of help - and over 20 of these non-profit charitable organizations will be offering information about their foundations at this year's Altruism Festival.

In addition to the charity information booths, loads of local restaurants will donate food for those attending to sample and several local performers will entertain the crowds. Don't miss this very upbeat, wonderful night of food, friendship and fun for just $250 pesos per person, with all proceeds divided equally among the charities.

Organizers are hoping this year's event will will be even more successful than last year, when each of the 20 charitable organizations involved received a check for $13,628 pesos. For more information on how you can get involved in the 2005 Altruism Festival and/or future fundraising efforts, please contact Kelly Trainor at the US Consulate in Puerto Vallarta at 222-0069.
